All the fun little things we all enjoyed on a weekend. Where do they come from? The answer is you!! If you do not make Agape, there is no Agape for a weekend. So start coming up with new and fresh ideas. Make more than one kind. Someone is waiting for you to bless them with the special Agape God has told you to make. Make enough Agape that everyone can be part of the Blessings. We cannot use it if you make just enough for the pilgrims. Everyone at the table gets the same Agape, not just the pilgrims.
Prayer is the most essential Agape. Call the Agape Chair to let them know you are ready to sign up.
How much Agape should I make?
Make at least 45 pieces—enough for the pilgrims and the team. It is a good idea to make extra in case of breakage.
How should I package my Agape?
Label your container/package with the number of pieces of Agape and your "Reunion Group" name so that someone from your church or group can recover any unused Agape at the closing ceremony to replenish it for the next walk.
Do you think I can figure out where and when Agape will be used?
The Agape Chair will accept your suggestions, but please know they have the final say regarding where and when your Agape is used. If you wish, label your container/package for the walk, day, or time you have in mind to use this Agape.
Would you happen to have any suggestions about what to make?
Please make only the table and pillow, Agape. Make it Colorful and keep it light and inexpensive.
What happens to Agape that is left over?
Any Agape left will be at the closing for reunion groups or individuals to take home to replenish for future walks.
Can I personalize Agape with the pilgrims' and team members' names?
Personalized Agape is nice; however, be sure to have the current list of names and spell all names correctly. Make a quick call to the registrar, Lay Director?
I received a special piece of Agape on my walk. Can I make it to this walk?
Of course, remember what meant the most to you—it may have the same impact on someone else.
What about special Agape or gifts for the pilgrim I have sponsored?
Special Gifts for your pilgrim are for the ride home. NEVER LEAVE AGAPE IN A PILGRIM’S ROOM!
What about food, Agape?
Could you bring something that your pilgrim likes to eat? It can be fruit, cookies, candy, chips, or cake. Baked items are always a big hit. Don’t forget drinks. Bottled water and soft drinks are always good choices. Remember, meals are provided, so you should really check with the Kitchen Chairman before bringing cooked items.
Where do I leave Agape?
You can leave your Agape in several places. You may leave it at Sponsor’s Hour, with any Agape team member, in the Agape room at the camp, or at Agape drop-off locations posted in the information packet. There will be a drop-off basket at the Agape room.
